Muhammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah helped India win the shortest test ever played in Cape Town against the home side. The 2nd test between India vs South Africa lasted for just 107 overs as India with their great bowling turned out to be the winners of this game levelling the 2-match test series 1-1.
Highlights of the Match:
South Africa after winning the toss, chose to bat first which turned out to be a nightmare for them as the whole team was booked at score of 55 runs by Indian bowlers. It was Muhammad Siraj who did the main damage as he took 6 wickets in the first innings by giving just 19 runs.
India in their batting reply played well to some extent only. As Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli got out after scoring 39, 36 and 46 runs respectively. Highlight of the Indian batting was 6 Indian batters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna got out on Golden duck. The Indian team got out on a score of 153 runs, getting a lead of 98 runs in the first innings.
South African batters in their 2nd innings were all over the place except Aiden Makram who played magnificently well for his 106 runs on 103 balls. Rest of the home side batters could not reach double figures except the skipper Dean Elgar, David Bedingham and Marco Jansen who just made 12, 11 and 11 runs respectively. This time from the Indian bowling unit it was Bumrah who impressed with his accurate bowling as he took 6 wickets at the expense of just 61 runs. Home side just managed to make 176 runs giving visitors a very low target to make as India had to make just 79 runs to win this test match.
The Indian team achieved this target easily in just 12 overs on the loss of 3 wickets. Final score was 80/3 in 12 Overs. With this win India levelled the 2-match test series with 1-1.

For his skillful and accurate bowling in the first innings, Muhammad Siraj was awarded with Man of the Match award as he set the stage for India in the first innings to win the match by taking 6 wickets.
