An FIR filed against Australian batter Mitchell Marsh in Aligarh UP, India.

 According to Media reports, an FIR was filed by RTI activist Pandit Keshav in India’s Uttar Pradesh Aligarh Police station against Mitchell Marsh for putting his feet on the world cup 2023 winning trophy. The person complained that Australian batter disrespectfully did this act to hurt Indian Cricketing Fans as Australia won the world cup 2023 final against India to win their 6th 50 over world cup.

Keshav has sent one copy of this FIR to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding for a permanent ban on Mitchell Marsh to play in IPL and all types of cricketing activities in India. This FIR came after Indian fast bowler Muhammad Shami complained about Marsh gesture as Shami said he is hurt by this gesture and as a cricketer this act did not make him happy. March on the other side did not react to this controversy and returned home after winning the world cup.

This is not the first time;

In October, an Indian Lawyer complained to ICC against Pakistani wicket keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan for offering prayer on the ground during the match against Netherland and for supporting the Gaza cause. Same Lawyer-Vineet Jindal in another complaint against Pakistani cricket host Zainab Abbas over her  “anti-hindu” statements that complaint was the reason Zainab Abbas was asked to leave India during the world cup
