Finally there is some good news coming from the England cricket camp, as they went onto win the 2nd match of this 3-match odi series and also levelled the series 1-1. As England is on tour of the West Indies for 3-match odi series and 3-match T20i series. This match was played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
Highlights of the 1st Innings;
England won the toss and chose to field first.

West Indies with the bat looked a bit shaky as they were 23/4 in 7 Overs. It was Sam Curran who did most of the damage to the home side.

After that West Indies tried to regroup as the skipper Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford made a well played partnership of 129 runs but they got out too. Last Six wickets fell for just 50 runs in next ten overs with England Spinner Rehan Ahmed and Livingston sharing 5 wickets in between them.

West Indies were all out for 202 in just 39.4 Overs. Sam Curran and Livingston were the pick of the bowlers as they took 3 wickets each.

England openers gave a very solid start while chasing as the first wicket fell on 50 score. Phil Salt got bowled and scored 21 runs while Will Jacks was the highest run getter in England’s lineup as he went on to make 73 runs on 72 including 6 fours and 4 sixes.

The positive vibe in England’s batting effort was that their skipper scored runs as he made first half century in 15 Innings. Butler scored 58 runs on 45 balls and was not out.

Harry Brook also played well for his 43 runs. He remained not out too.

England chased down this target of 202 runs in 32.5 overs and their score was 206/4.
Sam Curran for his magnificent bowling figures was declared Man of the Match award. Good point for England is that they levelled up the series before the last odi of this 3-match series.
