England won the 3rd t20i which was a must win game for them to keep hopes alive in the 5-match t20i series as West Indies won the first 2 encounters. Thanks to Phil Salt’s maiden hundred who turned out to be a real savier for the England Team in this all important match. England skipper’s 50 runs were also very crucial to see his side over the line.

It was not an ideal start for the home side and 2 were down on 8 runs. After that Nicholas Pooran batted sensibly along with Shai Hope. Hope got out early after making 26 runs on 19 balls.

The skipper Rovman Powell also helped the cause with the bat as he made 39 runs on just 21 runs. Major contribution came with Pooran’s bat as he played exceptionally well for his 82 runs including 6 fours and 6 sixes on just 45 balls.

Sherfane Rutherford also played a little camyo of 29 runs on 17 balls.

Adil Rashid and Sam Curran were pick of the bowlers as both took 2 wickets each and were economical as well as compared to other bowlers.

West Indies in 20 overs managed to score 222/6 which was quite a decent total.

As the target was high and the match was a do or die situation for the visitors, England started their chase with a great opening partnership as Phil Salt and Jos Buttler gave 115 runs in the opening stand.

The skipper Jos Buttler after playing magnificent innings of 51 runs on 34 balls got out. He managed to hit 5 fours and 2 sixes.

On other end Phil Salt played a gem of an innings as he made his maiden T20i hundred. He scored 109 runs on 56 balls including 4 fours and 9 sixes.

Salt magnificent innings was continued by Harry brook who turned this match on his head as he scored 31 runs on just 7 balls including 1 four and 4 sixes, and helped his side win this thrilling contest.
