Format Change for both Teams soon after 50-over icc world cup 2023;

As New Zealand did qualify for the semi’s but could not go on to play final while Bangladesh had a nightmare world cup 2023 campaign so after the odi world cup it would be the first test match between the two teams. It would be the first test match after Eight months for New Zealand and for Bangladesh after 5 months so it will be great to see how both teams perform in the longer version of the game.

Bangladesh Team Review;

Bangali Tigers will be playing this test without many of their key players like odi captain and vice captain “Shakib ul Hasan and Liton Das” are not part of this series. Same in bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain are also not available for this series. Only Liton Das was given paternity leave while all three players were injured. So as Najmul Hossain Shanto will be captaining the side, a lot will depend on him, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque in batting while bowling Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Mirza will lead the attack.

New Zealand Team Review;

As Tim Southee will be captaining the side. New Zealand will be going with their full strength like the batting master Kane Williamson will lead the batting depart along with Devon Convoy, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra while in bowling Tim Southee will share the ball with Henry, Neil Wagner, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi.

So New Zealand with their all guns available are comparatively a stronger looking side as compared to Bangladesh as their most of main players are not available but Bangladesh at their home will definitely be tough opponents to beat, so it will be a great series to watch.

Pitch Analysis;

As first test match will be played at Sylhet which is a perfect batting pitch, infact best batting track in Bangladesh. The weather usually remains dry so batters are expected to enjoy their outing in the first test match.
