Same like great batting display in the 3rd t20i match, Phil Salt back to back hundred again in 4th t20 helped England side to win with a huge margin of 75 runs to level the series 2-2.
Highlights of the 1st Innings:
West Indies won the toss and chose to field first which turned out to be not a good decision in the end as they ended up on the losing side.
It was a flying start by the England openers Phil Salt and the skipper Jos Buttler as they scored 117 runs in first wicket partnership in 10 overs. Jos Buttler got out after making brilliant 55 runs on just 29 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes.
The talk of the town was Phil Salt who did distracted batting and went on to make 119 runs on just 57 balls with 7 fours and 10 sixes at strike rate of 208.
Another important contribution with the bat came by Livingston who made 54 runs on just 21 balls including 4 fours and 4 sixes.
England in 20 overs set a huge target for the home side as they scored 267/3.
Highlights of the 2nd Innings:
As scoreboard pressure was evident for the home side in the run chase their first wicket fell on 1st ball of the 2nd Innings as Brandon King got out on a Duck.
For West Indies, wickets keep on tumbling regularly. Nicholas Pooran and Sherfane Rutherford got into their 30’s but could not convert it into big scores respectively.
Main contribution came from Andre Russell bat as he made 51 runs on 25 balls and then got out.
West Indies all team got out at a score of 192 in the 16th over. Pick of the bowlers for the England side was Reece Topley as he took 3 wickets in 3.3 overs and gave 37 runs.
Man of the Match:
No surprises here, as for his magnificent batting performance Phil Salt was nominated for Man of the Match award.
